8 Months Old

Taylor was a very busy 8 month old. She learned how to clap and still hasn't stopped. It's so cute! She's such an entertainer and will do anything to get attention. She's too funny! It's never boring around our house! She learned how to crawl at the beginning of the month and learned how to pull herself up the next day. Our lives changed very quickly after that. It's a completely different world now. It's so amazing watching her learn and discover all the new things around her. She got her first tooth at 8-1/2 months and her second one a couple of weeks later. She loves any kind of food (except mashed potatoes...that's the only thing that she has turned her head to...silly kiddo). She LOVES to take baths and play with all of her turtles :)

New House

As most of you know we moved to a new house at the end of April. We painted the entire house before we moved in which was quite the task. Taylor and I spent every day up there for two weeks and John came over at night when he got off work along with a few other great family members who helped out when they could. Uncle Weed was such a HUGE help and we couldn't have done it without him. Thanks guys!! We love you! Taylor was such a trooper through the whole thing. I'm SO thankful that she wasn't quite crawling yet. We made a deal that she wouldn't start until we were done moving and she held her end.

We are pretty much all settled in now...still have a few rooms to paint and some other small things to do but we're getting there. We are loving the house SO much and hope to stay for a long time. We have a great back yard and have been spending a lot of time out there. We have plenty of room so come stay with us any time :)

I'll try to get more pics of the house up soon. I keep forgetting!

Easter

We had a great Easter this year...very non-traditional...but fun! We were in the process of painting our new house so my parents came down for Taylor's first Easter and to help us paint (Thanks guys). T was SO excited about her Easter basket (although I think she liked the grass more than the presents.) Sadie even got in on the fun. We hid some eggs for her and put treats in them. She found them all within seconds and had them broke open. Smart dog! We spent the day at the new house painting and had a gourmet meal of Chinese take-out. Nice! We did take a few minutes to put Taylor in her Easter dress so we could take some pictures before we went to paint.

Snow Day

Well, winter finally made its way to Colorado. We got hit with our first big snowstorm of the year on Thursday. We got about 14 inches. Taylor got to play in the snow for the first time over the weekend and she had a blast. She thought the snow was pretty funny.

6 Months Old!!!

So our baby is 6 months old. Crazy how time flies! She had her 6 month shots and got a flu shot on Friday and did pretty good. She didn't sleep well that night but other than that no reactions. She is now 14lbs 9oz (she jumped up to the 25th percentile) and 25-1/2 inches long (50th percentile). Such a sweet girl!!!

Out for a walk today!

Talkin' and bubbles...

Someone likes carrots...

Someone likes carrots...

Or maybe not...

Okay...so Taylor tried carrots for the first time on Friday and absolutely LOVED them. She couldn't get enough of them. She even screamed because I wasn't getting it to her mouth fast enough. Well tonight was a different story. She liked the first few bites and then she thought it would be funny if she blew bubbles while she was eating so we both were COMPLETELY covered in carrots and then all of a sudden she started making this awful face (as seen in the video above). Funny kid. We were laughing so hard! We'll have to see how sweet potatoes go over.
