Cravings

I didn't really have any cravings when I was pregnant with Taylor and it's been the same with this one until recently. For some reason a memory popped up in my mind from when I was little. We used to eat at the Country Kitchen all the time when I was younger and they had a dessert called a hot fudge cake. It was yummy chocolate cake layered with ice cream, more chocolate cake, hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry on top. It was like a foot tall and way more dessert than anyone needs. Anyway, that was years ago but for some reason I couldn't stop thinking about it. The restaurant is now the Millstone but it's basically the same thing. I told John about the hot fudge cake and for some reason he thought to call and see if they still had it on their menu and whatta ya know they did! We ordered one and went to go pick it up. Oh my goodness...It completely filled one of the styrofoam to-go containers and was absolutely amazing. It was everything I remembered. Well, I have been craving them like crazy. They are SOOO good! We even took our friends to go get them one night. They are going to start to get to know us if I keep this up. Oh, and it's only $3.50. Crazy deal. It's a good thing I didn't discover this earlier in my pregnancy. :)

37 WEEKS!

I'm SOOO ready to meet this baby!

Baby Shower

My good friend, Chelsea offered to throw me a baby shower for baby #2. I was a little hesitant. It's hard for me to invite people to a party and ask them to bring me presents. I know...just one of my things. Especially since we had pretty much everything already. Chelsea came up with the idea of doing a diaper and hair accessory shower. I thought that was a great idea and knew we would definitely be needing lots of diapers. It was so sweet of her to offer. She sent out a cute e-vite and made food/snacks and brought some decorations. It was great to spend the afternoon with the girls and Taylor had a blast being a part of it. She got to open all the presents and entertained everyone (as usual). Thanks Chelsea! We really appreciate your thoughtfulness. :)

Nursery

The nursery is done! Now we're just waiting for our sweet little girl to come visit! Can't wait!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! We didn't do much this year but Taylor got some surprises in her mailbox that morning and I made some treat bags for her to take with her to daycare. We planned to do something special for dinner that night but Taylor had a horrible earache so we came home and she went to bed and John and I had a frozen pizza and tried to decide if we should take her to the ER or not. Romantic right? She ended up being ok and was better the next day but it was a little scary that night.

36 WEEKS!

Whoa! Check out that belly!

She fell asleep on the couch (which she never does). I honestly think this might be the first time so we had to take a pic of John taking her to bed. :)

Trip to CO - Opa's 90th Birthday

John's grandpa (Opa) turned 90 in January so we took a trip to CO to help him celebrate. We had a great time. Almost 200 people came to his party and all of the friends/family that were from out of town stayed at the same hotel so it made for a super fun weekend. He has a huge family. I can't remember how many grandkids there are but our baby will be #101 for great-grandkids. Pretty amazing! All of John's siblings and his mom were there. It was the first time they've all been together for a few years. Taylor had fun playing with her cousins and loving on her aunts and uncles. We got there on Friday afternoon and just hung out with everyone. Saturday was party day. It was SO great to see everyone there for Opa. He was amazing and had his picture taken with everyone that was there. He's pretty amazing! They had a photo booth set up at the party and as you can see everyone had a good time with that. :)  On Sunday we just hung out and watched some football. Our friends Kole & Shannon and their daughter Payton came to visit us. It's always great to catch up with them. That night a few of us went out for sushi. Yum! It was such a great trip and probably our last for awhile with the baby coming soon. Can't wait for birthday #91.
