Carving her Dora pumpkin (did you expect anything else - she's a fanatic). She wasn't really into it and didn't like the messy pumpkin goop but she had fun watching and seeing the final product.

Fall Colors - Spearfish Canyon

Towards the end of September we took advantage of the beautiful place we live in and drove up the canyon to see the gorgeous fall colors. I know I say it a lot but we really do live in an amazing place. We had a great day driving up the canyon, taking a little hike and seeing the waterfalls.

Wildlife Sanctuary

In Spearfish, we have a Wildlife Santuary that houses and takes care of abused and/or abandoned wildlife. It's a really neat place and we have always wanted to go but just never got around to it. In early September they were hosting a family day so it gave us the excuse to go check it out finally. It was well worth it. We had a great time!

We got really close to this leopard. Such a cool animal but a little freaky.
