Jack

This year we adopted an Elf on the Shelf. If you're not familiar with Elf on the Shelf, here's the lowdown...

The elf comes with a book that tells the story of an elf that Santa has sent to keep an eye on the children's behavior. Each night the elf uses his magic to go back to the north pole and give a report of how good or bad the children were that day. When he comes home each night he finds a new hiding place in the house and the kids race around each morning to find his new location. When you get the elf the kids are supposed to name him. The children are to never touch him as he will lose his magic. After Christmas the elf will return to the North Pole to help Santa get ready for the next year's Christmas.

So, with that being said, meet our Elf. Taylor named him Jack. He's found some very creative places to hide. In the Christmas tree, sitting on the water dispenser in the fridge, hanging from the lights, etc. Here he is trying to snitch some of Taylor's suckers. Silly Jack!

Jack was really good motivation for Taylor to be a good girl. We kind of miss him now that he's not around and have had to call him a few times. :) It's a very fun tradition that we're really looking forward to carrying through the years.
